Full Norfolk List March 2018
Following the BOU adopting the IOC World List for the British List, the species order for the Norfolk List has changed to follow BOU as it always has done. Not only do some genus orders change but also the order within some species groups. See new order below.
* All Fea’s Petrel claims have been accepted as either Feas’s or Desertas or Zino’s Petrels and will remain as such until further notice.
** All records of Isabelline Shrike prior to the split of Isabelline Shrike into two species, Isabelline Shrike and Red-Tailed Shrike that are as yet unassigned to either species, will be considered to be Isabelline Shrike or Red-tailed Shrike. There had been just one accepted record for each species up to the end of 2016. A review of all other accepted pre-split assigned records to attempt to determine their specific status should follow.
*** All records of Siberian Stonechat prior to the split of Siberian Stonechat into two species, Siberian Stonechat and Stejneger’s Stonechat remain unassigned to the end of 2016 so will be considered Siberian or Stejneger’s Stonechat until a review to attempt to determine their specific status.
